[Origin: 1125–75; ME miracle, miracul (< OF miracle) < L mīrāculum, equiv. to mīrā() to wonder at + -culum -cle2]
I thought I would start with this one having just passed the Celebration of what some would believe to be the biggest miracle, the Birth of Jesus Christ by the Virgin Mary.
In my life my biggest miracles are my perfect three little girls. I succinctly remember with each birth lying in those first bonding moments, mother and baby, flesh to flesh, how did this happen, how was I so clever, how did this perfect human being begin and grow and evolve into this beautiful and wondrous creature? I love them to death more with each day and we must remember to tell them this daily. Give lots of hugs and kisses and be open and honest with them, they will love you back unconditionally.
Please share with us miracles in your life.
On another note, have you made this block yet? Maybe, maybe not, this post will stay in the archives and can be searched for at anytime. Share with us your block when you are done. I personally think it would make a lovely birth card for a special friend or family member about to experience the most wonderful achievement as a woman – the birth of a child.
hugs for today
Helen

  1. Hi Helen, I have to agree. The miracle of creation and birth, and then the amazing growth that continues daily is definitely amazing. I am looking forward to sharing the next 52 weeks with you and your fabulous quilt. Oh, happy new year.
