meeting nice people and eating nice things!

I have just come back from a lovely week of teaching in Queensland. You can read all about it on my other blog and see the pics. I was priveledged to meet many nice women, see many nice things and eat LOTS of nice food!Judy G a long time Hugs ‘n Kisses customer came to my class and brought her NPNT blocks to show me….. so here are a couple of them…

Judy has stitched four Miracles blocks, I think for a Great Grandma, Grandma, new mum and new baby with different colours suited to each generation

she has stitched this block rather than applique it.

Now of course you are all going to tell me I am two blocks behind after my trip away… so I’ll catch up now for you all..

what goes around…

My mother always said ‘What goes around comes around’…. in other words, do something nice for no reason and one day it may come back to you…. I recently helped out Janet Clare of the UK with some business advice and look what came in my mailbox this week!

this I am so honoured to own a piece of Janet’s art – I did have to explain to my girls what a tea cosy was – they are not very common anymore down here and certainly not in our household as no-one drinks tea from a pot….. but thats not to say I am ungrateful, tea cosy or not, it is a most treasured piece now hanging on my wall. Lynette Anderson also got one, see hers – is it Lynette and her foster doggie Hugo?
